1. Spiced Cider
This cocktail is the perfect alternative to mulled wine for anyone who’s not particularly fond of wine but yearns for a sweet and spicy festive beverage.
Ingredients:
50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold
80ml Apple Cider
Two dashes Angostura Bitters
Three pieces Star Anise
Four buds of Clove
2tbsp Sugar/Maple Syrup
Method:
1. Pour Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, angostura bitters, apple cider, star anise, cloves and sugar into a saucepan.
2. Heat until the sugar dissolves.
3. Pour mixture into a tall glass and serve.
2. Christmas Punch for Cocktail Party
The festive season is known for drinks such as egg nog and hot cups of cocoa, but neither of those are exciting enough for a Christmas cocktail party. Christmas Punch is a refreshing, sweet, zesty cocktail with a hint of spice — what more could you want?
Ingredients:
30ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold
30ml Sherry
100ml Sparkling Water
15ml Lemon Juice
1tbsp Honey
One Orange Slice
Five pieces of Clove
Method:
1. Add ice to a shaker.
2. Pour in Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold.
3. Add honey, lemon juice and sherry.
4. Shake vigorously.
5. Strain into a glass.
6. Garnish with a clove-studded orange slice. Using a knife and chopping board, cut a slice of orange and push five cloves into the slice. Place on top to garnish.
3. Baileys Irish Creamy Hot Chocolate
This easy-to-make drink is a fantastic festive variation on a regular mug of hot chocolate. The combination of Baileys and whipped cream gives it a rich and creamy finish that couldn’t feel more Christmasy!
Ingredients:
50ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
150ml Hot Chocolate
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Shavings
Method:
1. Measure 150ml of hot chocolate into a saucepan and heat gently. Pour into a short glass with 50ml of Baileys.
2. Squirt whipped cream onto the drink and sprinkle chocolate curls on top of the cream
4. Hot Toddy
During the festive and freezing months, you may not be overly keen to sip on a chilled cocktail. But that doesn’t mean you have to stick to cups of tea and coffee. Enter the Hot Toddy — a tasty and toasty cocktail perfect for the cold winter nights.
Ingredients:
50ml Single Malt Scotch Whisky
75ml Boiling Water
25ml Honey
25ml Lemon Juice
One Lemon Wedge to Garnish
Three pieces of Clove
Method:
1. Place a bar spoon filled with runny honey in a tumbler or latte glass.
2. Pour in whiskey, lemon juice, boiling water and cloves.
3. Stir slowly.
4. Garnish with a wedge of lemon.

5. The Spiced Gingerbread
A perfect drink for the festive season, the “Spiced Gingerbread” combines the sweetness of the ginger syrup and lemon juice with the subtle cinnamon flavour of Smirnoff Gold Liqueur. The smell and taste of gingerbread is very reminiscent of Christmas time, so this is the ideal addition to any Christmas cocktail party.
Ingredients:
50ml Smirnoff Gold
25ml Ginger Syrup
25ml Lemon Juice
Half an Egg White
One Gingerbread Man Biscuit (Per Cocktail)
Method:
1. Add Smirnoff Gold Liqueur, ginger syrup, lemon juice and egg white to the shaker.
2. Dry shake the mixture (no ice) until the egg white emulsifies.
3. Fill the shaker with ice.
4. Shake until cold.
5. Strain into a glass.
6. Serve with a gingerbread man biscuit on the side.
